There's a Lot to Love in the Last New Volkswagen Beetle

If you haven't heard, 2019 will be the last year of production for the iconic, beloved Volkswagen Beetle and Beetle Convertible. Make sure to get yours at Hendrick Volkswagen of Concord before the new Beetle disappears. That may come as more of a surprise than usual, considering that the Beetle was all-new for 2018. For 2019, trim levels for both hardtop and convertible models include the Beetle S, SE, Final Edition SE, and Final Edition SEL.

2019 Beetle Final Edition SE models offer rhombus cloth seating surfaces with leatherette inserts and heated seats, while 2019 Beetle Final Edition SEL models upgrade to diamond-stitched leather seats.

The new 2019 Beetle S now comes standard with body-colored side mirrors with integrated turn signals, body-colored side sills with chrome accents, and body-colored door handles for a more balanced and sporty look. The Beetle Final Edition SEL adds 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with Pure White accents.

A Powerful Engine

The Beetle has always made sure you'll be smiling while you are behind the wheel, but the newest version adds more power for a bigger smile. The 2.0-liter TSI® engine was boosted up for the 2018 MY and carries over for 2019, providing you with 174 horsepower for smoother, more spirited performance. The six-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and comes with a Tiptronic® system and sport mode so that you can shift manually when you're in the mood.

Technology and Safety Features

It makes sense that a new model year comes with new technology, and the Beetle went big on upgrades last year, and all carry over for 2019. This technology spans from the interior to driver assistance features, making sure drivers can include anything that they really want. This year, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Traffic Alert come standard. The tech available in the Beetle includes Park Distance Control, Rearview Camera, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
